BRISTOL HOMELESS ACTION WEEK 2019 CELEBRATES THE WORK BRISTOL IS DOING TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS AND EMPOWER THE PUBLIC TO GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A CHANGE.
The week will take place from the 13th-19th May and includes a host of activities and events aiming to showcase the work being done by homelessness charities and organisations around Bristol, with the aim of getting the public to take part in a collective effort to make sure nobody has to end up without a home in our city.
Our base for the week is The Kitchen in Silver Street, where we’ll be hosting events ranging from an all-week exhibition of photography by Ken Abbott and artwork from people with lived experience of homelessness, to a Launch Event on our first night to get people involved in the week, featuring live music and spoken word performances and speeches from key members of Bristol’s homelessness community. We also have events going on throughout the city, such as panels with homelessness experts, activism workshops and film screenings.
